Interactive fiction stories are games and readings at the same time. In an interactive fiction story/game you have a situation and you decide what to do. Your actions have consequences in the story. They are similiar to the choose your own adventure stories but you have more options.

To run a story just select it from the menu. Press spacebar to start most stories. Type in commands. The commands are typically verb + object combinations for example ' brush teeth with toothbrush'.

Here are a few common commands in English:

north, south, east, west, look, take, eat, open, enter, move, examine

Interactive fiction stories use the dialect of the writer including his or her great or not so great grammar as the case may be.

If the stories don't load make sure you have Java installed. It is free and can be downloaded online.
